Spontaneous Combustion Motor City is a festival of improvised theater
performed for the general public and featuring established and emerging actors
from theater, television and film who have their roots in improv.
Spontaneous Combustion is the brain-child of Becky Brett (Chicago) and Jstar (Atlanta)
who met at the Chicago Improv Festival in 2006. With Brett’s 10 years of festival
producing experience (including six with the venerable Chicago Improv Festival)
and Jstar’s decade-plus of improv experience throughout the US & Europe,
the two decided to create a new improv festival for Atlanta—
one that would draw more general public than improv insiders and
would introduce those audiences to the Art of improvisation
as well as bring the funny.
2011 brings a new partnership with GO COMEDY! in Detroit, MI.
With PJ Jacokes (GO COMEDY! producer) and Chris Moody (festival producer)
we are excited to bring Spontaneous Combustion Motor City to life!
Performances will be held at
GO COMEDY! IMPROV THEATRE
261 E. NINE MILE, Ferndale, MI 48220
(a 100-seat theater).
Tickets are $15 Wednesday $15 Thursday $20 Friday $20 Saturday $15 Sunday for each Triple Billed Show!
STUDENTS GET $5 OFF with ID
All access passes [HOT TICKETS] will be available for $100
and gets the pass-holder into every show (a $125 value).
Pro-Rated Passes will be available during the Festival
